Solara, I so appreciate everything you’ve written in this September Surf Report. It corroborates so much of what I have been experiencing. I fell into the crack between worlds when a scorpion stung me earlier this week. I read everything I could find on the Internet after it happened, and called 911 and spoke to someone in poison control, who counseled me. So when I started to feel sleepy, I knew it was to be expected, and I allowed myself to doze off while sitting in a chair. And during this time, I kept encountering energy shifts, deeper and deeper, just as you’ve described.
My time at Arcosanti has been drawing to an end, so even before the scorpion stung me, I had been “fired” from my volunteer position for not following orders blindly and for being a troublemaker. It’s a long story, and really not worth telling, because I have been engaged as a change maker in this community. So whether I continue to live here and be directly involved in the change that is happening does not really matter.
I have some ideas about what I will do next, and they all appeal to me. I had not read your report until just now this evening, but it’s uncanny how much we are on the same wavelength. I’ve been asking myself, okay, I’m moving into the next phase of my life, what is most important to me now?
I decided that freedom, love, creativity, and abundance mattered the most to me. I think that I’m going to add magical and wonderful relationships, which I already enjoy in abundance. My 63rd birthday approaches on October 11, and I was thinking today about asking for gifts from my Facebook friends, as well as good wishes for my birthday, in the form of telling me what they really want or wanted in their lives when they are, or were, 63.
I was just telling my mother on the phone a couple of hours ago that I just couldn’t put any energy into this presidential election because our system has gotten so corrupted that I don’t think any of my efforts would make a difference. Instead I am following Buckminster Fuller’s advice, “Build a better model and people will follow.” For me, it is creating a community, Terra Haven, and in this next phase of my life, I see myself writing the book about it set in the future, “Terra Haven 2030”. I want you to know how much I value you and all that you do and share. I feel deeply connected with you on the inner planes, and I appreciate the energies you bring.
